How to Conduct a Successful General Orientation Programme
- The workshop shows how to hold a motivating, fun, and successful general orientation for new employees, so that by the end of the first day, the new employees are not only fired up, but they also know exactly what behaviours, qualities, attitude, and performance standards are expected of them.

- How to conduct the orientation, especially how to introduce and explain the following topics in a stimulating manner:
- The company’s history, achievements, and direction.

How to Deepen the New Employees About the Hotel’s Culture
Overview
- We will provide you with a tailor-made Culture Orientation programme so that the Team Leader can deepen the new employee’s understanding about the hotel’s culture, in particular the hotel’s mission, vision, critical success factors, core values, key behaviours, performance standards, and direction.
- The manual would be used by the Team Leader immediately after the General Orientation programme, and every day until the end of the employee’s probation period. There is enough material for three months of short daily training sessions.
- The workshop shows you how to use the manual.
Benefits
- Employees only gain a superficial picture of the hotel’s mission, vision, core, values, critical success factors, and culture at the general orientation. This Culture Orientation Manual enables the Team Leader to deepen the new employee’s understanding of these areas on a daily basis.
- The employee benefits because s/he has a much clearer idea of what is expected and will experience greater job satisfaction, while the hotel benefits from the employee’s higher level of performance and from lower staff turnover.
- The manual and workshop are especially useful those who say:
- “Why don’t the new staff know what the vision statement and core values are?”
- “The vision statement hasn’t taken root in this hotel.”
- "How do I continue from the general orientation programme?”
- “How do we make sure that they don’t forget what was in the general orientation?”
